SAMARITANS ORKNEY

ADVOCACY ORKNEY

Advocacy Orkney provides many services one of which focuses on mental health. An advocate can support you if you are going through a difficult time. I have created a link directly to the Advocacy for mental health page below.

CAMHS

CAMHS provides support to young people between the ages of 0-18 who may be experiencing difficulties with their mental health.

SEAL

SEAL or Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning helps support young people and families within the community. They work with children from nursery upwards and collate with schools to enhance support.

The Mind website has an extensive amount of information regarding mental health. This website can help children, parents/carers, and teachers. They provide support and advice and have a helpline that you can contact by clicking the button below.

YOUNG MINDS

The Young Minds website is incredibly helpful to children, parents/carers, and teachers. The website provides information as well as resources and has a helpline for parents alongside a 24/7 free and confidential text message service for young people.

PLACE 2 BE

Place 2 Be is another excellent service for children, parents/carers, and teachers. They have many resources and a lot of information. They are in partnership with SHOUT which provides a free 24hour confidential service.

NHS

The NHS website can be great for children and parents. This website is a reliable resource that can help you to understand different symptoms that you may be feeling. This website does not only focus on physical aspects but has many pages helping with mental wellbeing.

MENTALLY HEALTHY SCHOOLS

This webpage is incredibly informative for teachers. There is plenty of information and resources, alongside articles explaining the benefits of a whole-school approach. This website does not only focus on mental wellbeing but also takes a look into emotional and social wellbeing.
